Piano Skills Festival
Beginning in 2024 SCMTA added a program called the “SCMTA Piano Skills Festival”.
The Piano Skills Festival is a non-competitive, adjudicated event that promotes LIFE-LONG MUSICIANSHIP! With audition components that include keyboard technique, theory, and musicianship skills, the Festival is intended to improve and expand students’ overall pianistic and musicianship abilities. Students who consistently participate will develop skills that last a lifetime.
Registration
Registration is open! Registration will close March 29. 2026.

Virtual Audition Dates and Registration Deadlines
November 1 Audition, October 18 Registration Deadline
March 14 Audition, February 28 Registration Deadline
April 11 Audition, March 28 Registration Deadline

All auditions will be held virtually.

Registration Fees
Levels 1-6: $19
Levels 7-12: $24

Teachers who are not members of SCMTA will need to pay a non-member registration fee of $75. The deadlines for teachers to renew their dues in order to avoid the non-member fee are October 1 (Fall auditions) and December 31 (Spring auditions).
